The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) proposes to establish a sea-based Aquaculture Development Zone (ADZ) in Saldanha Bay, which is intended to attract and incentivise investment in the sector, provide marine aquaculture services, manage the risks associated with aquaculture and provide skills development and employment for coastal communities.
